Jillian Hodapp v. Regions Bank
United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri
On August 21, 2018, a former Regions Bank Teller filed a federal lawsuit in the United States Courthouse for the Eastern District of Missouri, asserting that Regions Bank failed to pay her and thousands of other Regions Bank employees overtime wages as required under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Named Plaintiff asserts that Regions Bank failed to pay her and other employees overtime wages for performing security procedures prior to opening the bank branch each day.
On January 17, 2019, the United States District entered an order conditionally certifying the lawsuit as a collective action under the FLSA and ordered that current and former hourly employees of Regions Bank who completed pre-shift security procedures may join the lawsuit and seek alleged unpaid wages for such time in this action.
