Daniel Horowitz

dhorowitzDaniel A. Horowitz, Esquire vigorously represents his clients in employment discrimination and wage and hour matters. Prior to joining Swartz Swidler, Daniel litigated personal injury, contract, and class action matters as an Associate at Shulick Law Offices in Philadelphia. He also practiced election law as the Campaign Attorney for Anastasio for Philadelphia, a campaign for City Council.

Daniel received his Juris Doctorate from Temple University Beasley School of Law. During law school he interned with the Honorable Jane Cutler Greenspan, the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate, Elder Division, the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection, and Philadelphia City Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr.

Prior to attending law school, Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan where he majored in English Language and Literature. After college, he served in Americorps and worked at a homeless shelter for mothers and their children.

Daniel is active in the community and currently sits on the Zoning and Historic Preservation Committee for the Society Hill Civic Association, on the Alumni Advisory Board for City Year Greater Philadelphia (an Americorps program), and he is a regular volunteer with various local and national organizations. He was formerly in the Public Awareness and Civic Engagement Committee for Philadelphia’s Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness and in the Green Committee for LL63, a Neighborhood Development Corporation for West Philadelphia where he helped shape homeless and green policies for the City.

Daniel is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
